Bulk conversion by bank
Bulk convert ANZ statements to CSV
ANZ Internet Banking issues statements one period at a time. Converting a year of them doesn't have to work that way.
A year of ANZ statements in two batches
Twelve ANZ statements, converted by hand, means opening each PDF, dragging a selection over a table that doesn't want to be selected, pasting it in, and finding the BPAY reference number has landed in the description column again. A year of ANZ Internet Banking history is exactly that, twelve times, because ANZ hands statements over one period at a time with no export for the underlying data.
Ten PDFs go into a batch at once. Set the bank to ANZ, run it, and what comes back is a single CSV with every transaction from every file in date order, a year of one account clearing in two runs.
Where a generic PDF-to-table tool usually falls down on ANZ statements is the payment types. An Osko transfer description like "PAYID SARAH JONES [email protected] REF INVOICE 4471" needs to survive intact for the file to be any use for reconciliation. Split across two columns or truncated at the reference number, and it's not. The parser here is built against ANZ's actual column layout, so EFTPOS, PayID, Osko and BPAY entries keep their full description, and the balance carries through correctly from the opening figure to the close.
Pick the wrong bank when uploading and that file comes back as a named failure rather than an empty CSV, with no credit spent chasing the mistake. Batches don't have to be one account: an ANZ Access Advantage statement and an ANZ Rewards card can run in the same batch, and statements from other banks can sit alongside them if that's how the job's shaped.

Frequently asked questions
Which ANZ accounts are supported?
ANZ Plus, Online Saver, Progress Saver and Access Advantage, plus ANZ credit cards including Low Rate, Rewards and Platinum. Both personal and business statements convert.
How do I download several statements from ANZ?
In ANZ Internet Banking, open the account, go to Statements, and download each period as a PDF. ANZ issues them one at a time, which is exactly the input batch mode expects.
Can I mix ANZ statements with other banks in one batch?
Yes. Each file carries its own bank setting, so ANZ statements can sit alongside Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, NAB and the other supported banks in the same run.
Are PayID and BPAY transactions handled?
Yes. EFTPOS, PayID, BPAY and direct debits all get parsed into the right columns with their description text preserved.
How many credits will a year of statements use?
Credits are counted per page. A typical ANZ monthly personal statement is two to four pages, so a year of one account usually falls between 25 and 50 pages.
